Abstract

A new born male baby was urgently referred with gradually increasing eyelid swelling and inability to open eyes. On evaluation the baby was found to have congenital combined eyelid imbrication. The condition was managed conservatively with gradual but complete resolution of symptoms. Congenital combined eyelid imbrication is a rare, mysterious entity with unknown aetiology and largely conservative management. This is the fourth such case reported worldwide to our knowledge.
