Abstract
Aim
To present a challenging case of combined occlusion
Presentation
A 62-year-old male presented with acute onset defective vision in the right eye with visual acuity of 6/36. Anterior segment examination showed 2+ cells. Fundus examination revealed a whitish lesion along the superotemporal quadrant of the left eye. Multimodal imaging and serology was neither consistent with inflammatory pathology nor lymphoma. Fundus fluorescein angiography was conclusive of combined occlusion of superotemporal branch retinal vein and artery. Patient was treated with intravitreal Bevacizumab and pan retinal photocoagulation.
Conclusion
Combined branch retinal vein and artery occlusion with retinal edema can mimic retinitis and lymphoma.
