Abstract
Ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN) is a spectrum of slowly progressive, benign, premalignant, malignant epithelial lesions of the conjunctiva and cornea. It can lead to loss of vision and in severe cases death. Risk factors include ultraviolet light exposure, smoking, petroleum product exposure etc. We hereby report that a 47yrs old male presented with c/o reddish white mass increasing in size with discharge in right eye since 2 months. He is a chronic smoker. On local examination, pedunculated, papillomatous surface with central white plaque and feeder vascularisation seen in the medial canthus of the right eye. The treatment options for conjunctival epithelial malignancies include excision of the tumor removal with or without cryotherapy, radiotherapy and topical chemotherapy.
