Abstract
Forceps injury to the cornea occurs during complicated forceps delivery. The application of the forceps can cause accidental rupture of the cornea at the level of the DM.the diagnosis may become difficult when it is tough to observe characteristic vertical DM scrolls and patients lack proper information.A 23 years old male patient came to us for refractive surgery opinion. On SLE the anterior segment in right eye was normal except for that the patient was found to have a oblique tear at the level of the DM in the mid periphery in right eye.Pachymetry was 531μ in RE and 507μ in the LE.Specular microscopy showed endothelial cell density of 1329 cells/mm2 in RE and 2502 cells/mm2 in LE.ASOCT was done and it showed rolled margins of torn DM and thickening.Pentacam was done which showed Astigmatism and high posterior elevation in the right eye and left eye was normal symmetric bow tie pattern.1 month follow up was done and showed good result with very less LOA and no change in astigmatism
