Abstract
Aim- detection of various sight threatening ocular pathologies during screening of babies for ROP.
Method -a prospective study was conducted from June 2021-july2022 which included babies of GA<34 weeks and birth weight<2000 gm referred from paediatric department. Ophthalmic evaluation was done including fundus using ophthalmoscope and ret cam. Results- out of 534 babies, 204 were detected having various types of rop and treated accordingly. 115 babies were detected with other clinically significant ocular pathologies like congenital cataract, retinal haemorrhage,PHPV, endophthalmitis .They were managed medically or referred to higher center. Conclusion – timely screening and detection of sight threatening ocular conditions can save many babies from permanent visual disability. Category – physical poster
