Abstract

Objective – to investigate the association of autoantibody markers like cANCA, pANCA, RF,anti ds DNA,ANA and Inflammatory parameters like ESR, CRP in patients with underlying autoimmune disease and correlate their significance with dry eye status and early treatment

Methods – a sample size of 80 with autoimmune disease were studies excluding patients on contact lens, active ocular disease, and recent ocular surgery . Patients were evaluated based of Schirmers 1 test and TBUT

Results-on going study, results yet to be concluded

Conclusion-serum levels of pANCA, cANCA, RF, anti dsDNA, ANA ESR, CRP may be an independent factor for dry eye among patients with common autoimmune disease and they may have a high significant value in early treatment of dry eyes
