Abstract

Purpose: To compare the stability of Indian and Imported toric intraocular lenses IOLs after2 hours rest post operatively.Method:In this prospective study, 50 eyes of patients aged 55 to 60 years, with NS 2 -3 cataract were included.Those with brown cataracts and other ocular pathology. Indian & Imported toric IOL implantation was done in 25 eyes in each group under Verion assistance. Thorough pre op evaluation including assessment of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, anterior chamber depth, OCT, endothelial count and IOL power calculation (IOL master700) using Barrett’s suite was done.The stability of topic IOL was checked after 2 hours post operatively. Result: 99% imported Vs 97.8% Indian toric IOLs had stable fixation. Re-rotation was required >10 deg rotation in 2 eyes (8%) of Indian lens and 1 eye (4%) of imported lens P>0.05 Conclusion: After 2 hours of rest post operatively, both Indian and Imported IOLs have comparable rotational stability.
