Abstract

We hereby report a 20-year-old girl who presented to us with decreased vision in her right eye.On detailed evaluation she was discovered to have a temporal macular RPE defect with a pointed-oval shape directed toward the foveola. The ophthalmic examination revealed best-corrected visual acuity of 6/9 in her right eye and 6/6 in her left eye without any significant changes in biomicroscopy. Her ocular and systemic medical history was unremarkable. Torpedo maculopathy diagnosis was based on the characteristic shape and peculiar location. Eventhough clinical examination gives us a diagnosis, the appearance of the lesion in different multimodal imaging modalities will aid in confirming the same.
