Abstract
A 59-year-old female presented with a sub-conjunctival soft yellowish mass on the Infero-medial part of her right eye. MRI Orbit revealed thin uniform lesion enveloping the infero-medial ocular surface, from the limbus to the equator measuring 12 x 2.8 mm, extending posteriorly up to the insertion of the medial and inferior rectus
muscles. The mass was excised in toto and submitted for histopathology. The microscopic findings were a myxoid tumor in conjunctival storm with multiple capillaries with elongated thin walls and stellate fibroblasts. Based on histopathology, a diagnosis of of Conjunctival stromal tumour (COST) was made. Through this case, we present a case of COST, a rare conjunctival tumour of mesenchymal origin, discuss some of the important differentials, and highlight the importance of doing histopathology in such cases.
