Abstract
Purpose:To compare risk analysis of generic portable fundus-on-phone (FOP) with standard binocular 90D ONH examination to diagnose glaucoma
Design-Cross-sectional comparative study
Methods:FOP(Remidio Innovations Pvt Ltd) was used to capture disc images of undilated, consecutive cases referred for glaucoma evaluation. The images were compared with 90D evaluation using DDLS grading. No change in reported scores was permitted.
Results:Consecutive 137 eyes of 39 (55.71%) males and 31(44.29%) females with mean age 49.58 (SD=16.16) years were examined.Disc image was captured by FOP in 127/137 eyes, and in 128 eyes on 90 D;difference was not significant (X2 =0.056,p= 0.82).There was 71.07% agreement between two modalities of assessment with substantial concordance [Kappa=0.657(95% CI: 0.584-0.731), Z=17.62, p= 0.00]
Conclusion: Digital imaging on phone is a promising tool for disc damage assessment in undilated glaucoma patients and compared favourably with standard 90D slit-lamp biomicroscopy
