Abstract

Dry eye is a menace in this technology driven era where education and entertainment rely on increasing screen time .With the fall of Covid 19 pandemic ,enormous surge was noted in this particular field leading to drastic increase in Dry Eye and Computer Vision Syndrome.

A clinical analysis was done on patients coming to OPD with symptoms of dry eye in Government Hospital to unveil the pattern of increase in such cases and its underlying causes of increasing in its prevalence.Data analysis revealed substantial increase in prevalence in school going and people indulging in work from home.Data pool included age, sex, type of device ,screen time ,duration of symptoms, and the response to medical treatment.

The subjects were followed up for compliance and analysis of response of treatment and recurrence of symptoms.
