SICS is now accepted as a reliable technique for cataract surgery producing reproducible results. It scores over phacoemulsification in terms of universal applicability in all situations and machine independence. The outcome is based on the skill of the surgeon and mastering SICS requires practice in construction of triplanar sclerocorneal tunnel and creation of an adequately sized capsular opening. Numerous techniques of nuclear delivery are being practiced, giving satisfactory results. In this video assisted course the management of challenging situations and complication will be discussed by experts in the field.
