Abstract
Refractive surgery is the term used to describe surgical procedures that correct common vision problems (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia) to reduce your dependence on prescription eyeglasses and/or contact lenses. Phakic iol is one of the modern and effective method in high myopes. Eyecryl is a customised acrylic single piece posterior phakic iol. Aim of the study is to assess effectiveness of eyecryl phakic iol. Material and methods-It’s a retrospective interventional study. Total of 132 eyes of 72 patients included. 107 received toric phakic iol and 25 regular. We observed statistically significant change in visual acuity per-op and post-op. There was no change in pre and post- op IOP. Mean age was 26.33. Conclusion- eyecryl is a excellent option for high myopes.
