Abstract

A 13-year-old male presented with painless progressive loss of vision in right eye. Best corrected visual acuity was 20/120 RE (S-1.0/ C-4.0 @ 80) and 20/20 LE. Retinoscopy showed scissoring reflex in right eye. Fundoscopy revealed large optic disc with funnel-shaped excavation with blood vessels emerging from the rim of excavation in a radial pattern in right eye suggestive of morning glory disc anomaly(MGDA) and was normal in LE. Corneal topography of RE showed inferior steepening accompanied by significant thinning of the cornea which correlated with keratoconus and LE revealed peripheral inferior corneal steepening and ‘crab-claw’ pattern which was consistent with pellucid marginal degeneration. Patient was advised collagen cross linking for RE to prevent progression of keratoconus and observation for LE. We report the rare association of morning glory disc anomaly with keratoconus and pellucid marginal degeneration, which to the best of our knowledge has not been documented.
