Abstract

Anterior capsule tear following blunt trauma in a pseudophakic patient is an extremely rare phenomenon. We present a case report of a 41 year old male patient who had blunt trauma to the Right eye with a shuttle cock while playing badminton. He presented with chief complaints of floater in the right eye. On slit lamp examination, torn anterior capsule was noted in the mid periphery region from 7 o clock to 11 o clock, and the capsulorhexis margin was bent in the shape of 7, residing in the visual axis. Patient was advised Nd – Yag laser, and underwent the same improving his symptoms.
