Abstract

A 29 year old male patient presented with complaints of sudden onset of drooping of both upper eyelids(LE>RE) since 2 days . On clinical examination, asymmetrical ptosis (LE>RE) was present, pupils were equal & reactive , limitation of depression in left eye was present, convergence was absent along with nystagmus on opposite gaze in both eyes. MRI imaging suggested possibility of demyelination in areas of midbrain, pons, superior cerebellar peduncle and cerebellar vermis. Patient was referred to neurologist for further management , where he was started on steroids and ptosis resolved. Patient was symptom free at 6 month follow up.
